8 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR MOOD

8 Ways to boost your mood

We all have gloomy days, days that just feel like there is not a sun in the sky or breath in our lungs. Don't you just despise those days!? I do, so below I've listed eight sure-fire ways to boost your mood//happiness and kick out the gloom:

1. Read your Bible:

It doesn't matter where you open up your Bible at, simply reading a few passages of God's word always helps to lift my spirits. Better yet, download the You Version Bible App, available on iTunes or App store & read anywhere, anytime on your smartphone! This app also includes several helpful Bible reading plans/Devotions, that can be short & sweet for busy days or when you have a little extra time on your hands!

2. Exercise:

Hellooooo endorphins! Even a short workout can help loosen you up & make you feel better. My favorite exercise is running, it's an instant gratification workout!

3. Get in comfy clothes:

Some gloomy days just aren't meant for skinny jeans & full-face makeup, so get in your favorite pj's & curl up with tea//coffee or a good book!

4. Make a new dish:

Sometimes the best way to take your mind off a gloomy mood is to create something, and I love food! So hop on Pinterest & search for a dish to recreate! It could be one of your favorites re-imagined, or something you've never tried before!

5. Buy some fresh flowers:

Flowers are just pretty, they brighten up a room & make me smile every time I see them! Better yet, if it's the season for it, get outside & plant your own blooms!

6. Just smile:

You may feel stupid, but just do it. It's an instant mood-booster, if you want your mood to be boosted. ;)

7. Organize:

This may not work for you, but it sure does for me! A de-cluttered space always helps me feel accomplished & therefore boosting my mood. You can try just by throwing away unneeded papers, or organizing the pantry//closet//bedroom!

8. Connect:

One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was this: The best way to be encouraged is to give encouragement. Same with happiness! So send a card to sick person or loved one you haven't talked to in a while(trust me it will make their day). Shoot a text to your best friend or significant other letting them know you love them or miss them. Bake cookies for neighbors or become involved in a project helping the less fortunate or needy. Making other people happy//helping someone always gives you your own happiness, at least in my experience!

So there you go! I hope you try at least one of these tips & that it helps you to be a happier, healthier person! Because really, life is too short to not try & be happy right? :)
