MY CLOTH DIAPER WASH & DRY ROUTINE

Cloth Diaper wash and dry routine!

Hello friends!

I'm back with the third & final installment(for now) on all things cloth! Today I'm here to tell you all about my wash and dry routine which I know can be super tricky for beginners! It took me a while to find a routine that worked for me, but after countless Youtube videos and how-to's, I found the one for me!

So let's get started!

Below is a picture of the paper I have with my wash & dry routine written on it. I wrote this down when I first had Case as a reference guide when I first started cloth diapering so I didn't have to look it up every time I washed my diapers!

Here are some helpful hints for washing & drying cloth diapers:

1. Always wash on HOT to sanitize your diapers

2. I always use an extra rinse

3. If your baby is only consuming breast-milk, their poop is water soluble, no need for rinsing before you wash until they start eating solid foods!

4. Dry your diapers on medium heat, and set your dryer to more dry. If your diapers have clasps or buttons, full heat on your dryer could damage the diaper. You want to make sure your diapers are fully dry as well to avoid stinky mildew diapers!

5. Store your diapers in a wet bag until you are ready to wash them. I wash every other day, and I've found waiting any longer leads to a mess!(I've heard all kinds of haunting stories like mold, maggots, and more if you let you diapers sit too long without being washed, blech!

6. Use a STRONG detergent to be sure you get all the nasties off your diapers & sanitize them!

There you have it! Be sure to leave a comment or private message me if you have any questions on cloth! I am still not an expert but after over a year of cloth diapering I am definitely an advocate for all their benefits!

Bye for now! <3 -Aud(:
